Tinted
Tinted Float Glass is made by adding coloring agents during the melting process. The common colours tinted are grey, green, bronze and blue. Besides its artistic qualities, is also has different properties such as heat and light reflection, heat and light transmission, ultraviolet transmission, and insulation
Toughened
Toughened glass is available from 4mm up to 19mm and is ideal for glazed doors, table tops, balustrades, low level glazing and glass display cabinets. As with all glass, toughened can have additional work carried out on it, i.e. polished edges and holes for fixings. Please note that once the glass has been toughened it is impossible to re cut or have any extra holes drilled as it will shatter.
Laminated
Laminated float glass is a safety glass that is commonly used in shop fronts and single glazed doors.
Fire Resistant
Fire resistant glass is used in buildings to help slow down and stop the spread of fire. In order to comply with British and European standards the glass must be glazed in the correct frame with the correct materials.
